An Artistic Legacy: Scripps at 100聽Lecture and Exhibition Tour

Dr. Jennie Waldow 鈥�12, curatorial associate and collections specialist at the UCLA Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts at the Hammer Museum, will present a lecture on her approach to curating聽An Artistic Legacy: Scripps at 100.聽The exhibition is the first comprehensive survey of the creative community that has shaped Scripps College and its reputation as a center for artistic innovation. Featuring more than 70 paintings, sculptures, textiles, works on paper, artists鈥� books, and new media by Scripps faculty and alums, the exhibition traces a century of artistic achievement and influence.

Learn how Waldow organized decades of history into a thematic and chronological narrative. Immediately after the lecture, she will lead a tour of the exhibition at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery, followed by tea. This program is presented in partnership with the Scripps Fine Arts Foundation.
An Artistic Legacy: Scripps at 100聽will be on view at the Williamson Gallery through December 13, 2026. During the exhibition, the gallery will be open Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 5 PM. Admission is always free. For more information about the exhibition and related public programs,聽.
