Scheduling Proctored Tests

To schedule an exam, you must click on 鈥淎lternative Testing鈥 under 鈥淢y Accommodations鈥 on the left-hand side. From there, you will click on the class that the test is needed for and follow the steps. See this for more details. Test requests should generally be made at least 3 business days in advance, but final exam requests will need to be made by the deadline given each semester by the Student Disability Resource Center.

The Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) will proctor all tests. They are a Claremont Colleges 5c resource that is located in the Tranquada center near Student Health. Questions regarding testing should be directed to [email protected] or (909)607-7419.

Requesting Books in PDF Format

You will then go into your AIM profile, go to 鈥淢y Accommodations鈥 on the left hand tab, and select 鈥淎lternative Formats鈥. You will then need to fill in the information requested and hit 鈥淪ubmit Request鈥.

Note Taking/Audio Recording Lectures

Some students with a digital note taking accommodation may use an electronic device such as a laptop for notes in class. Others, as well as those with an Audio Recording Lectures accommodation, will utilize Messenger Pigeon. Messenger Pigeon allows students to record their lectures and then request either an automatic transcription or a human transcript. You are able to go back and listen to the audio transcript and match it to your notes as many times as needed. If you need access to Messenger Pigeon, you will simply send [email protected] an email requesting the link. AARS will then consult the SDRC to provide this link. Students can contact [email protected] for guidance and direction regarding this accommodation.
